The
Water SkimmerSM is a new design in marine vessels. This boat allows 2 people to sail across the water without the worry of swamping, sinking, or tipping over.
The Water SkimmerSM's new hull design was finalized in 2007. The design was unique enough to warrant application for a US patent (we attained our US Patent #7,578,253 in the summer of 2009). The new design hull takes care of several essential points of interest:

- It is designed such that when taking off, the bow lifts only slightly. The boat has built-in keels. As waves approach the Water SkimmerSM they hit the keels prior to contacting the hull itself, acting like virtual water ski's and minimizing water to hull contact.
- The Water SkimmerSM can accommodate 2 people. The final design includes side railings that wrap around to the motor. The passenger will be able to hold on to these rails for extra security.
- The Water SkimmerSM's stern actually lifts as the speed is increased which makes for a more efficient boat.

- This boat steers more like a go-cart than a boat when turning. The placement of the keels restricts the boat from pitching as it turns.
- Driver also has a full 192 square inches (12"x16") of glass bottom to view the seas between the driver and the steering console.
- The Water SkimmerSM is constructed of fiberglass and buoyant materials. It cannot take on or retain water, never needs bailing and is virtually unsinkable.
- The Water SkimmerSM can be outfitted with your choice of a gas or electric outboard engine.
- The Water is currently in production at Martin's Manufacturing & Fabrication LLC dba Martin Boats Mfg, Orlando, Florida in Florida.
